The film Ford vs Ferrari starring Christian Bale, Matt Damon follows the true story of how the Ford took on the Ferrari at the famous Le Manns 24 hour motor racing circuit. Ford at that time we’re struggling and looking to find a way to attract new customers. A pitch by Lee Iacocca a young executive at Ford at that time to the then owner Henry Ford 2nd that by winning would attract Ford to a younger audience was a very bold move. Something that would later prove successful later on.
An original story of how Carroll Shelby took over the mantle to design and develop the car with his race car driver Ken Miles. As the story is portrayed in the film they made history with the Ford taking on the Ferrari in 1965 and coming out victorious.
